Meet Ben

​

From a very young age Ben's creative interest, passion and want for helping the environment, would eventually lead him to the art of Upcycle. Creating and designing from discarded material, anything he could get his hands on, he has learned from decades of experience how to help reduce the landfill footprint through his Unique Designer Functional Art.

 

Ben's Great Year

​

In his early 20s, Ben worked in Ottawa Ontario as a Property-Superintendent….he began tinkering with upcycling in his spare time. Finding items discarded or abandoned by tenants, Ben combined function with art, creating unique designer items: lamps, tables, chairs, office furniture, stage & movie props, clocks, décor items, and more. Impressively, Ben built his hobby into a successful art business. Fast forward to 2018 and Ben is now living in beautiful British Columbia, re-launching UrBen Upcycle, bringing his Unique designer quality Upcycle items to the West coast market.
